Take Back Day in Meridian set for Saturday April 30th


The Meridian Police Department will be participating in the DEA’s 22nd National Prescription Drug Take Back event scheduled: SATURDAY, APRIL 30, 2022, 10AM – 2PM, UPTOWN MERIDIAN MALL (near the movie theater and food court entrance.)

The National Prescription Drug Take Back initiative aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription and over-the-counter drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for the abuse of medications. The Drug Take Back is FREE, ANONYMOUS, and WITHOUT INVENTORY! Vape pens or other e-cigarette devices with the batteries already removed will also be collected at the event. Please see attachment for more details on the e-cigarette and vaping devices disposal. Individuals who return unused medications on the event day will received giveaways provided by sponsors of the event.
