Graduation Rate for Meridian Public School District increases to 85.1%

Meridian, MS - February 18, 2022 —The Meridian Public School District is pleased to announce that the graduating class of 2021 had 85.1% of students graduate. That is an increase of 5.9% over the previous year and marks the highest gradua7on rate for Meridian Public School District.

“I would like to commend and celebrate every teacher, school leader, and support staffmember who had an impact on the increased graduation rate,” said Dr. Amy Carter, MPSD Superintendent.

The graduation rate for Meridian Public School District students with disabili7es is within the top 20% of the state.

“We still have work to do to ensure we graduate all students who enter the doors of Meridian High School,” said Carter. “This is a community effort and this could also not be accomplished without the support of our parents and our amazing community as well.”
