On Thursday, July 14, 2022, the Neshoba County Sheriff’s Office arrested Chad Cumberland in the North Bend Community of Neshoba County, Mississippi. Originally, Deputies were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle call near road 2826 around midnight. Upon arriving, deputies noticed suspicious activity at 10121 Road 2826. Deputies observed a white male subject make an exchange with a male from within the residence. The male exited the residence and proceeded to leave in his vehicle. Deputies executed a traffic stop and recovered a bag of clear crystal like substance, believed to be methamphetamine from the suspect. The white male had purchased an 8 ball (3-3.5g) of methamphetamine for $80.00.
Deputies watching the house made contact with Chad Cumberland inside the residence. Cumberland was in possession of $80.00 in his front pocket, a large amount of methamphetamine, Alprazolam, Hydrocodone and several items of paraphernalia, including the scales he used to weigh the most recent drug transaction.
Chad Cumberland was out on felony bond for 2-counts of Conspiracy to Commit a Felony Crime. Cumberland was originally picked up on those charges on 05/14/2021. Cumberland is also out on a felony bond from Oktibbeha County for Trafficking a Controlled Substance.
Chad Cumberland is currently being held in the Neshoba County Detention Center on a denied bond for charges of: Sale of Controlled Substance, Possession with Intent to Distribute (Methamphetamine), Possession with Intent to Distribute (Hydrocodone), Possession with Intent to Distribute (Alprazolam), denied by Neshoba County Justice Court Judge Payne.
Neshoba County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to monitor drug activity in this community. Multiple drug arrests have been made in this area and we will continue to be vigilant in the fight to rid this area of those contaminants.
